A family owned and operated business came together when founders and sisters Judy Flax and Jan Lovett first visited Bali in the mid 1970s. In awe of the inherent talent and skillset of local garment and textile artisans, the duo merged their creative knack and international network to partner directly to develop what has become a village cooperative business model based upon ethically just practices.
Beachgold’s rich history expands beyond 25 years of designing, manufacturing and producing contemporary resort wear on the tropical island of Bali.
Today, Beachgold Lifestyle features contemporary resort wear, accessories and homewares born in the archipelago of Indonesia.
The Beachgold team includes a collective of over thirty full-time staff that each manage their own respective operations whether that be a sewing, pattern-making or printing collective. Ultimately the team expands to support over 150 people.
Each garment is handmade from the screen printing and dye-house process to sewing, checking and packaging. The company hires predominantly women and showcases an indiscriminate and diverse workplace.
In 2018, Beachgold Home was formed to compliment the company’s ready to wear collections. Beachgold Home features a collection of community-based accessories, homewares and interiors infusing innovative design to meet the current marketplace demands. Each item is 100% handwoven, crafted and in direct partnership with traditional artisan village collectives spanning the Indonesian archipelago. Beachgold Home is proud to highlight the story of the artisan that is often overlooked and does not receive deserved recognition. All materials are natural, native to Indonesia and sourced responsibly.
Rue Saint Paul is proud to bring you treasures from the Beachgold Bali collection.
