Assistant Store Manager (weekend) / Brooklyn

Job description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic weekend assistant store manager to help with our Brooklyn shop. Join us for a flexible and fun work environment supporting sustainable do-good brands. All employees get 20% off our shop + rental program benefits. 

Part-time:

  • Every other weekend, must be available for 8 hr shifts 
  • Weekday availability
  • In-person at our Carroll Gardens / Cobble Hill, Brooklyn shop
  • Minimum 6 months commitment
  • $25/hr

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform daily opening/closing procedures and reporting
    • Complete all point-of-sale duties as required
    • Provide a fun, full service experience to all customers
    • Manage all areas of in-store customer service
    • Manage phone calls, resolve customer conflicts/complaints, and other requests
    • Manage fulfillment of online and local pick-up orders
    • Ensure store visual merchandizing, cleanliness, and stocking requirements are met and maintained
    • Review sales frequently and take action on visual merchandising to maximize sales
    • Assist in creating inventory transfers in our Point of Sale system for incoming inventory
    • Manage incoming inventory including receiving, tagging, steaming, displaying, and storing products
    • Manage customer service and operational duties related to our rental and pre-loved buyback programs
    • Review garments for pre-loved buyback program
    • Assist in preparing trash and recycling for weekly pick-up
    • Be knowledgeable of our brand, products, and sustainability values
    • Be a strong representation of our brand
    • Provide training and direction to Sales Assistants
    • Assist Store Manager with coordinating stock and supply restocks
    • Other duties as assigned

    About You:

    • Prior 6 months+ of retail sales experience
    • Strong interest in women’s fashion and lifestyle
    • Positive and energetic with proven experience driving positive customer interactions
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
    • Strong multi-tanker with a keen attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • High level of integrity
    • Ability to work alone during shifts
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Flexibility to work a retail schedule including 6-8 hr shifts, weekends and holidays
